Overview
The HaseMed 1.5 ml Reaction Vessel is a classic Eppendorf-style centrifuge tube with an attached snap lid, molded from clear polypropylene (PP) for everyday lab work. Designed for sample preparation, molecular biology and routine centrifugation, it combines a conical bottom for clean pellet recovery with a hinged flip-cap that seals reliably and opens one-handed. Graduations at 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 ml give fast visual orientation during pipetting, aliquoting and reagent mixing, making it a dependable workhorse for research, QC and teaching labs.
Highlights & Benefits
- 1.5 ml Eppendorf-style format: Industry-standard reaction tube compatible with common rotors, racks, heating blocks, vortex adapters and single-channel pipettes.
- Attached snap lid: Hinged flip-cap stays with the tube, seals tightly to reduce evaporation and cross-contamination, and can be opened with one hand.
- Clear polypropylene (PP): Natural-transparent wall allows quick visual checks of volume, pellet formation and phase separation.
- Conical bottom: Supports clean pellet collection and complete sample recovery down to small residual volumes.
- Centrifuge-ready: Suitable for standard microcentrifuges used in routine pelleting, washing and clarification steps.
- Graduated scale: Marks at 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 ml provide quick orientation for aliquoting and buffer preparation.
- Autoclavable: PP construction tolerates standard autoclave cycles when the lid is left slightly open to equalize pressure.
- Choice of pack sizes: Available in 100, 250, 500 and 1000 pieces to match single-project use as well as high-throughput routines.
Use Cases
- Molecular biology: DNA, RNA and protein extractions, PCR master mix preparation, enzymatic digests, ligations and transformations.
- Sample preparation: Aliquoting standards, dilution series, buffer exchange and small-volume reagent storage.
- Cell biology & biotech: Pelleting cells or debris, collecting supernatants, preparing lysates and resuspending pellets.
- Analytical & QC labs: Retained samples, stability aliquots, standardized test series and pre-analytical handling.
- Universities & teaching: Student practicals and training exercises on pipetting, centrifugation and aseptic technique.
Features at a Glance
- Nominal volume: 1.5 ml
- Format: Eppendorf-style microcentrifuge / reaction tube
- Material: Polypropylene (PP), natural transparent
- Closure: Attached hinged snap lid (one-hand operation)
- Bottom shape: Conical, for clean pellet recovery
- Graduations: 0.1 / 0.3 / 0.5 ml markings
- Processing: Centrifuge-compatible; autoclavable (lid slightly open)
- Pack sizes: 100, 250, 500 or 1000 pieces
- Intended use: Professional laboratory use only; not for in-vivo or patient applications
Application
Use the 1.5 ml HaseMed reaction tube wherever small liquid volumes need to be mixed, spun, heated or stored under controlled conditions.
- Pipette the sample or reagent into the tube and close the snap lid firmly until it clicks.
- When centrifuging, load the rotor symmetrically and balance tubes by weight to protect the rotor and samples.
- For vortexing, heating or incubation, use compatible racks or blocks sized for 1.5 ml microtubes.
- Label tubes on the lid or side surface and document contents according to your lab workflow.
- After use, decontaminate and dispose of tubes according to local lab waste and biosafety regulations.
Available Variants
- 100 pieces
- 250 pieces
- 500 pieces
- 1000 pieces
Important Notes
Before autoclaving, release the lid slightly to prevent pressure build-up and deformation. Check chemical compatibility of polypropylene with the reagents and solvents you intend to use. Keep tubes away from direct heat sources and store in suitable racks to prevent tipping and contamination. This product is intended for professional laboratory use only and is not a medical device for patient diagnosis or treatment.
