The HaseMed Stainless Steel Kidney Dish is a reusable 600 ml reniform tray built for daily use in operating theatres, treatment rooms, wards and sterile processing. Polished stainless steel, a rolled rim and a seamless one-piece body make it easy to clean, quick to reprocess and reliable through thousands of autoclave cycles. At 250 x 130 x 30 mm it slots neatly onto standard instrument trolleys, Mayo stands and into conventional sterilisation containers, giving clinical teams a durable replacement for disposable kidney bowls without compromising on hygiene.
Single-use cardboard and polypropylene dishes are convenient, but high-volume departments quickly feel the cost and waste impact. A stainless steel kidney dish pays back its purchase price within a few reprocessing cycles and removes a recurring consumable from the stockroom. Because the HaseMed dish is fully autoclavable, it moves through the same thermal and chemo-thermal workflows as your surgical instruments, which simplifies logistics for central sterile supply departments (CSSD) and keeps procurement lean.
The reniform shape sits close against the patient's body or the edge of a trolley, catching irrigation fluid, blood, used swabs, sharps sheaths and removed dressings without spillage. The smooth, mirror-polished interior leaves nowhere for debris to lodge, and the recessed base stabilises the dish on sloped or vibrating surfaces.
Before first use, process the dish through your standard cleaning and sterilisation workflow. During the procedure, position the kidney dish with its concave edge against the patient or work area so fluids and materials fall naturally into the tray. After use, keep the dish moist or pre-soaked until reprocessing begins to prevent debris drying onto the surface.
To preserve the polished surface and extend service life, avoid chloride-based or abrasive cleaners, steel wool and scouring pads. Do not stack the dishes while still wet, and dry them fully to prevent water spots or staining. Replace any dish that shows dents, deep scratches, distortion or signs of pitting, as these can compromise cleanability.
