Overview
HaseMed Electrode Spray is a ready-to-use contact medium supplied in handy pump-spray bottles from 250 ml up to 6 L. Formulated for daily use in ECG, EEG and EMG diagnostics, it lowers skin impedance, improves electrode adhesion and delivers cleaner, more reproducible traces on wet-gel, dry and adhesive electrodes alike. The compact pump bottle is designed for point-of-care workflows where a targeted, metered spray is faster and more hygienic than decanting a gel or cream.
The formulation is hypoallergenic, formaldehyde-free and non-greasy, so it can be applied throughout the shift without leaving residue on the skin, on leads or on patient gowns. HaseMed ECG electrode spray is CE-marked and manufactured under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745), making it a dependable consumable for hospitals, cardiology practices, neurology departments, mobile services and sports-medicine labs across Europe.
Key benefits
- Stable signal quality: Consistently low contact impedance supports clean ECG, EEG and EMG traces with fewer baseline artefacts.
- Fast pump-spray application: Metered spray wets the contact area in seconds, no pouring, no wasted product, no cross-contamination from shared tubes.
- Hypoallergenic and formaldehyde-free: Skin-friendly composition suitable for repeated use on sensitive patients and for long monitoring sessions.
- Non-greasy, easy to remove: Leaves no oily film, so electrodes reposition reliably and the skin wipes clean after the recording.
- Compatible with standard electrodes: Works with common wet-gel, self-adhesive and reusable cup electrodes used in routine diagnostics.
- Workflow efficiency: Reduces preparation time and the need to reposition loose electrodes during long recordings.
Clinical context
Signal fidelity in surface electrophysiology depends largely on the electrode-skin interface. A dry stratum corneum, residual lotions or sweat raise impedance and introduce motion artefacts, which can mask clinically relevant findings such as ST-segment changes, low-amplitude EEG rhythms or fine EMG potentials. Applying a thin, even layer of HaseMed Electrode Spray before electrode placement hydrates the contact zone, improves ionic coupling and stabilises the baseline, so that clinicians can interpret recordings with confidence.
The pump-bottle format (250 ml, 500 ml, 1 L, 3 L, 6 L) is optimised for rooms with moderate daily throughput: cardiology consulting rooms, EEG suites, occupational-health clinics, home-visit bags and teaching labs. For high-volume or central sterile supply departments that refill smaller dispensers, HaseMed also offers larger 5 L to 20 L canisters as a separate SKU.
Application
- Prepare the skin: remove oils, creams or make-up and let the area dry.
- Shake the bottle briefly and hold the pump 10 to 15 cm from the contact site.
- Apply one to two sprays directly onto each electrode position.
- Place the electrode, press gently and verify adhesion.
- Start the recording as usual; re-spray individual sites if a long session requires it.
For external use only. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Store the bottle upright, closed, in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
Package contents
- 1 x HaseMed Electrode Spray in the selected size: 250 ml, 500 ml, 1 L, 3 L or 6 L
- Integrated fine-mist pump dispenser (on 250 ml and 500 ml bottles)
- Product label with batch and expiry information
Frequently asked questions
Is HaseMed Electrode Spray compatible with disposable adhesive electrodes?
Yes. A light mist on the skin before placement improves conductivity without compromising the adhesive. Avoid soaking the electrode pad itself.
Can it replace electrode gel for long-term monitoring?
For recordings beyond a few hours, a conductive gel or paste is usually preferred. The spray is ideal for routine ECG, resting EEG, EMG and short monitoring sessions where a quick, even application is required.
Which size should I choose?
Select 250 ml or 500 ml for mobile bags and single consulting rooms, 1 L for busy practices, and 3 L or 6 L for departments that refill pump bottles regularly. For central supply or teaching hospitals, see the HaseMed 5 L to 20 L canister format.
Is the product CE-marked?
Yes. HaseMed Electrode Spray is CE-marked and supplied in line with the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745).
